Aloo Gobi/ Dry subzi - Indian curries

Recipe: Aloo Gobi Subzi - Dry Indian curry.


Ingredients: 

1) Onion sliced - 2 large

2) Tomato chopped - 1 large. 

3) Potato / Aloo - diced -2 large 

4) Cauliflower /Gobi - half or small sized 

5) Cumin seeds/Jeera - 2tsp

6) Dry red chilli - 3-4pcs

7) Turmeric powder - 1tsp 

8) Ginger Garlic paste - 1tsp.

9) Red chilli powder - 2tsp. 

10) Salt to taste

11) Oil as required

12) Water as required 

13) Coriander leaves for garnish. 


Preparation Method:

1) First split the gobi and wash it well. Boil the Gobi in salted water to remove any worms it might have. 

2) Dice and boil 2 large potatoes in water with some salt. 

3) Make sure to boil the potatoes and cauliflower separately. (As shown in my video) 

4) Once done, drain the water from both and keep aside. 

5) Heat oil in a kadhai, add jeera and dry red chilli and fry well. 

6) Now add the sliced onions and saute it untill it turns translucent. 

7) Add turmeric powder, ginger garlic paste, now chopped tomatoes and mix well. 

8) Add red chilli powder, salt to taste and mix well. 

9) Next, add the boiled cauliflower / Gobi into the kadhai & mix it will with all the masalas. 

10) Next add the boiled potatoes mix them all together.

11) Add little oil if required & very little water to make it a semi gravy. 

12) Close a lid and cook for 5min. 

13) Garnish with freshly chopped coriander leaves. 

Best option to serve with chapathi/Roti/phulka. 


Aloo Gobi Subzi/ Curry is ready to serve & eat!!
