Veggie Lover Pizza - 100% Whole Wheat Base Tawa Pizza

Recipe: Veggie Lover Pizza/ Whole Wheat Pizza/Tawa Pizza 

Ingredients For the Base: 
1) Whole wheat flour - 5 bowls (Im making Family size Pizzas) 
2) Baking Soda - 2 tsp
3) Sugar - 1tsp 
4) Dry active yeast - 2tbsp dissolved in lukewarm water. 
5) Warm water - 2 Cups
6) Salt - 2tsp 
7) Oil - as required

Ingredients for toppings:
1) Capsicum sliced/diced 
2) Onions Diced 
3) Tomatoes sliced
4) Sweet corn
5) Black olives
6) Mushrooms sliced
*Kindly note: Quantity of veggies - as desired
7) Melted butter with herbs/oregano - 1Cup
8) Pizza sauce (readily available at all stores) 
9) Grated mozerella cheese - 250gms
10) Tomato sauce 
11) Oregano/ pizza seasoning
12) Chilli flakes 




Preparation of Base:
1) First dissolve the dry yeast in lukewarm water for it to activate. 
2) Next, take a large bowl, add whole wheat flour/atta, Baking soda, sugar, salt and the dry yeast which was dissolved in water. 
3) Now mix all the ingredients and keep adding water in small quantities as you require to knead the dough. The dough shoud be slightly soft (medium soft) (As shown in my video) 
4) Once done cover it with a cloth/cling wrap and keep it aside in a warm place for 2-3 hours for the dough to raise. 
5) Then, remove the cloth and check if the dough is raised well. It will be more softer as compared to earlier. 

Preparation of Pizza: 
1) Firstly break the dough into equal meduim portions. 
2) Then sprinkle some flour onto the pan so that the base doesn't get stuck on to it. 
3) Next place the dough on the pan and spread it with your hands to make a round shape but make sure to keep the corners a little thick (As shown in my video) 
4) Once its done take a fork and poke holes on the base (so that the dough doesn't rise), spread the pizza sauce (As shown in my video) 
5) Now, put a little bit of cheese and then arrange the veggies one by one in an even manner and top it off with a good amount of cheese. 
6) Then, apply a little bit of butter on the edge of the circle for it to get a nice crust (As shown in my video) 
7) Place the pan on the stove since we are making "Tawa Pizza". 
8) Cook the pizza on low flame with a closed lid. 

9) Cook for about 5-7 minutes and check in between to see if the cheese has melted. 
10) Once you see the bottom of the base/crust is getting a little brownish and cheese has melted, its perfectly done. 
11) Turn off the gas and take the pizza out of the pan, onto a wooden board/ a plate. 
12) Take a pizza cutter and cut the pizza into slices (no. of slices as per your liking) 
13) Sprinkle some oregano/pizza seasoning and chilli flakes onto the pizza for that perfect touch and serve along with tomato sauce if you like. 

Kindly note: I've made two kinds of pizza bases thick and thin Medium and Large size
