Besan Ladoo / Besan ke Laddu - Indian Sweets

 Recipe: Besan Ladoo / Besan ke Laddu


Ingredients:

1) Gram Flour/Besan - 1pau/glass  

2) Ghee - 1/2 Cup 

3) Powdered Sugar - 1/2 cup 

4) Elaichi powder

5) Almonds/Badam - sliced or chopped - 10-12 pieces

6) Cashewnuts - chopped - 10-12 pieces


Preparation Method: 

1) Take a large heavy bottomed kadai, add ghee and let it melt on low flame. 

2) Once the ghee melts, add the besan/gram flour to the kadai. Make sure the flame is low at all times. 

3) Mix the besan and the ghee together, and stir continuously to avoid lumps. 

4) Keep stirring, the color changes after a while (turns golden), it will start to loosen up a bit. It takes about 10-15 min. Don't stop mixing as it might get burnt. 

5) Now add the powdered sugar and mix it well. 

6) On the other hand roast the almonds and cashews in 2tsp of ghee. 

7) Now add elaichi powder and the roasted nuts into the besan mixture 

8) Remove the kadai or pan from the stove and let it cool. 

9) Once besan mixture cools down, shape into medium-sized ladoo.

10) Garnish with more nuts if you prefer.


The yummy besan ladoo is now ready to serve and eat!!
