Vegetable Rava Upma/Rave Upitt
Recipie: Vegetable Rava Upma / Rave Upitt
Ingredients:
1) Carrot - 1
2) Beans - 1cup
3) Capsicum - 1
4) Cabbage - 1cup
5) Tomato - 1
6) Green chilli - 4 (or red chilli)
7) Curry leaves - 6-7 pieces
8) Roasted Meduim Rava / Upma sooji
9) Mustard - 1 tsp
10) Urad & chana dal - 1 tsp
11) Turmeric - 1 tsp
12) Water
13) Salt to taste
14) Coriander leaves
15) Grated coconut
Preparation Method:
1) Chop all the vegetables and keep aside.
2) Heat oil in a kadai, add Oggarne/tadka spices - Mustard seeds, Urad & chana dal, green chilli, curry leaves & turmeric and fry them all together.
3) Add all the chopped vegetables, put tomatoes in the end. (As shown in my video)
4) Fry them together and cook for 5 min, you can close with a lid if you like as well
5) Now, add 1 big cup of water and mix well. (you can add more water based on ur upma consistency)
6) Add 1.5 spoons of salt (or as per your qty)
7) Next, close a lid and cook for 10 min on high flame, let it boil well.
8) Now add the roasted rava into the kadai slowly and keep mixing continuously to avoid lumps in between. (As shown in my video)
9) Then close a lid and cook for 5 min until the rava is cooked/soft.
10) Garnish with grated coconut and coriander leaves.
11) You can add lemon juice if you like. (its optional).
Vegetable Rava Upma / Rave Upitt is ready to serve & eat!
