Tandoori Butter Roti - Tawa style
Recipe: Tandoori Butter Roti
Ingredients:
1) Wheat Flour - 2 bowl
2) Oil - 1 small cup
3) Baking Soda - 1spoon
4) Curd - 1 Cup
5) Water
6) Salt to taste
Method of Preparation:
1) In a large vessel mix 2 bowls of wheat flour. (Double the qty as needed)
2) Add 1spoon of Baking soda, 1.5 spoons of salt, and 2-3 spoons of oil.
3) Next add 1 cup curd and mix all everything together.
4) Add water in small quantities slowly and knead the dough. (As shown in my video)
5) Once the dough is ready, close with a kitchen towel or cloth and keep aside for 2 hours.
6) Now take small portions of the dough and roll it out like a chapathi (keep the base a little thick).
7) Brush with water on one side of rolled chapathi.
8) Now put the water side of chapati down on the tawa base and turn it upside down towards the flame (keep the flame on high for 1-2 minutes). As shown in my video
9) Allow the roti to cook till it turns slightly brown and raises in the middle (as per my video)
10) Now turn the tawa back as normal and cook the paratha as you would normally do. Add some butter over it and serve.

You can eat with any North indian Subzi or curry.
