Pudina Pulav / Mint Rice


Recipe: Pudina pulav (Mint Rice) 


Ingredients:
1) Pudina leaves -1cup
2) Coriander leaves - 1cup
3) Garlic 4-5 / Ginger 2-3  pieces 
4) Tomato- 2 chopped
5) Green chilli - 5 no's
6) coconut grated - half cup. 
7) Onion - 3 sliced
8) Green peas- 1Cup 
9) Carrot - 1 Sliced 
10) Potato - 1 Diced
11) Garam Masala 
12) Jeera, Bay leaves, Dalchini, star anise 
13) Salt + Oil + Water 
14) Basmati Rice - 1 large glass. 

Preparation Method:
1) Firstly, wash pudina & coriander and grind a thick paste along with Green chilli, Garlic, Ginger, 1 Onion & grated coconut. 
2) Next, take a kadai, add oil. Once heated add Jeera, whole Garam masala (spices) and onion & fry them well. 
3) Then add all the other vegetables to it and mix well. 
4) Next, add the grinded pudina paste to it and let it cook with a closed lid for about 10 min. 
5) Next, add Salt and Garam masala powder, mix well and fry for 5 min. 
6) Next, add the soaked Basmati raw rice to the kadai and Mix it well for about 5 min. You will start getting a nice aroma..
7) Then, Just add water to it-  for 1 glass of rice put 2.5 glass of water and pressure cook it or cook it in an electric rice cooker. 

** You can Serve the pulav with Cucumber onion raitha. 


The Greeny Pudina Pulav is ready to Serve & Eat.
