Methi Rice/Menthya Soppina Bhath


Recipe: Methi Rice/Menthya Soppina Bhath


Ingredients:
1) Methi leaves -1 large bowl 
2) Green peas - 1cup 
3) Tomato- 1 chopped
4) Dry coconut/ kobri - 1cup 
5) Red chilli - 3-4 small pieces
6) Red chilli powder -1 tbsp
7) Oggarne spice (mustard seeds, urad dal, chana dal) - 1 tbsp 
8) MTR Vangi Bhath masala powder - 2 tbsp 
9) Curry Leaves - 4-6 pieces
10) Turmeric powder - 1 spoon 
11) Rice - 1 pau / big glass
12) Salt, oil & water.
13) Coriander leaves - for garnish 

Preparation Method:
1) Firstly, wash the rice and soak it in water (1:2 ratio / as per your calculation) for 10 min and then Pressure cook with 4 whistle.
2) Wash and Chop the methi leaves a little bit. 
3) Take a kadai add oil, once its heated put the Oggarne spices as mentioned above, red Chili, curry leaves & turmeric powder. 
4) Then add Green peas & Tomatoes and mix well. 
5) Now add the Methi leaves and give it a good mix. 
6) Next, u can add salt, close it with a lid and simmer for 5 min.
7) Then add Red chilli powder, MTR vangi bhat masala powder, Dry coconut/kobri, mix all of it together and cook for 10 min. 
8) Add the Cooked rice to the kadai and Mix it gently so the rice doesn't break. 
9) Finally, Add the coriander leaves, mix well & transfer to a bowl. 


The delicious Methi Rice/Menthya Soppina Bhath is ready to Serve & Eat.
