Carrot Halwa - Festive Special - Indian Sweets
Recipe: Carrot Halwa / Gajar Ka Halwa - Indian Sweets Festive Special
Ingredients:
1) Carrot Grated - 1kg
2) Milkmaid - 400gms
3) Elaichi powder - 2tsp
4) Ghee - 4tbsp
5) Dry fruits for topping & Garnish (Cashewnuts, Raisins, Pistachios)
Preparation Method:
1) Take a kadhai/pan & heat 2 tbsp ghee.
2) Add the grated carrots into the kadhai and fry well for 10min. (As shown in my video)
3) You can add more ghee to get that perfect taste. Mix well, close the lid & cook for 10min on low to meduim heat.
4) Check to see if the carrots have changed color and are soft.
5) Once its partially cooked add 400gms of milkmaid (I suggest using nestle as it's the best choice)
6) Now mix it well, cover and cook for 15-20 minutes.
7) In another tadka pan/ small kadhai, roast the raisins & cashews for the garnish & keep it aside. (As shown in the video)
8) Mix the halwa nicely and add 2tsp of elaichi powder to get a nice flavour.
9) Add the roasted dry fruits and mix them all well, you can notice the perfect halwa texture & the colour is beautiful.
10) Garnish with more dry fruits (cashews, pistachios and raisins).
Delicious sweet dish for all occasions - Carrot Halwa is ready to serve & eat!!
