Gobi Manchurian - Hot & Crispy
Recipe: Gobi Manchurian
Ingredients:
1) Onion chopped - 2 no's
2) Cauliflower - 1 Large
3) Capsicum diced - 1 no
4) Garlic crushed- 6-8no's
5) Rice flour - 2.5tbsp
6) Corn Flour - 2.5tbsp
7) Maida - 1.5tbsp
8) Pepper powder - 1tsp (Note: qty as desired)
9) Green chilli Sauce -1tbsp
10) Soya Sauce - 1tbsp
11) Red chili sauce - 2tbsp
12) Tomato sauce - 3-4 tbsp approx.
13) Chili vinegar - 1tbsp
14) Red chilli powder - 1tsp
15) Baking soda - 1tsp
16) Spring onions/coriander for garnish.
17) Ginger garlic paste -1tsp
18) Water
19) Salt to taste
20) Oil
Preparation Method:
1) Firstly, wash and split the gobi/cauliflower into pieces and boil it in hot water with salt so that it's clean and/safe to eat.
2) Drain the water from the gobi and keep it aside.
3) Take a bowl, add rice flour, maida, corn flour, red chilli powder, baking soda, ginger garlic paste & salt. Now mix them with water to make a thick batter. Keep it aside.
4) Next, heat oil in a kadai
5) Add crushed garlic & chopped onions, fry them until translucent.
6) Add the diced capsicum and fry well.
7) Once you see the onions turning slightly brown and the capsicum has cooked, add the sauces - Soya sauce, green chilli sauce, chilli vinegar, red chili sauce, tomato sauce, pepper powder & salt and mix well. Let it cook for 5 min.
8) * Kindly note: The measurement of these sauces are as per choice of spice, tanginess & sweetness.
9) Now Add 2 cups of water into it and let it boil well. Once the sauce thickens, keep it aside.
10) Next, let's heat oil in a kadai for frying the Gobi.
11) Dip the gobi in the prepared batter and drop it into the oil.
12) Fry them well until they turn golden brown.
13) Once its ready, drop the fried gobi in the sauce that was prepared.
14) Do not overcook them in sauce. Just mix it or give it a toss.
15) Garnish with coriander leaves or spring onions (its Optional)
Hot & Crispy Gobi Manchurian is ready to serve & eat!
