Bisi Bele Bhath

Recipe: Bisi Bele Bhath


Ingredients: 
1) Carrot- sliced 1bowl 
2) Capsicum- Cubes 1bowl
3) Beans - long cut 1 bowl
4) knol kol - cubes 1 bowl 
5) Cheyote( simebadnekayi/chow chow)  - cubes 1 bowl 
6) Green peas - 1 bowl (cooked)
7) MTR bisibele Bhath masala powder - 3-4 Tbsp 
8) Rice - 1Pau/big glass 
9) Tur Dal - 1Pau/big glass
10) Turmeric - 1 tsp 
11) Tamarind water
12) Ghee - 5-6 tbsp 
13) Dry coconut/kobri - 1 cup 
14) Water 
15) Salt to taste
16) Oil

Preparation Method: 
1) Soak equal qty of Rice and tur dal with water in a vessel for 15min (As shown in my video) 
2) Then, mix both in a single cooker vessel and add 1 tbsp turmeric powder and pressure cook for totally 4 whistles. 
3) Soak all the vegetables in water with a pinch of salt and keep aside for 5 Min. (drain the water and keep aside) 
4) Now heat few drops of oil in a big kadai, add all the vegetables and fry for 2 Min. 
5) Next, close the vessel or kadai and cook the vegetables for 10 min. It should be steamed well. 
6) Once its done add the cooked rice and dal mix into it. 
7) Give it a good mix and let it boil for a few min.
8) Now add 2.5 tbsp MTR masala powder, 1/2 cup of Tamarind water & 2 spoons of salt and mix well. 
9) Next, add 1/2 cup of Dry coconut/kobri and 2tbsp of ghee. 
10) Cook for another 2-3 minutes and turn off the gas. It is now done. 

Note 1: It's best When eaten Hot as the name suggests.
Note 2: Serve with Khara boondi, potato chips or even Cucumber raitha like I've shown in the video

Bisi Bele Bhath is ready to serve & eat!
