Dahi Vada / Mosaru Vade


Recipe: Dahi Vada

Ingredients:
1) Urad Dal (uddin bele)
2) Curd
3) Curry leaves(karibevu)
4) Sugar
5) Green chilli
6) Coriander leaves
7) Jeera powder
8) Red chilli powder
9) Pepper powder
10) Chat masala
11) Coconut grated
12) Salt + Oil + Water

Preparation Method:
1) Firstly Soak Urad dal for 3 hours in water.
2) Then, drain the water and grind to get a thick batter (use only 2-3 tbsp of water).
3) Take out the batter and beat it well to a thick paste. To it add salt, jeera, coconut, pepper powder and green chilli paste/ finely chopped as per your choice.
4) Heat oil in a kadai well and fry the vada as usual (us uddin vade is fried) till it is golden brown.
5) Once its done, dip the hot fried vada in lukewarm water.
6) Simultaneously: Take curd in a bowl & beat it well. Add a little water if u feel the curd is too thick
7) To it add Salt, sugar, Chat masala, Red chilli powder, Jeera powder, Coriander leaves, Curry leaves and mix well
8) Now take a plate or bowl and arrange the dipped vada by squeezing out the water from it.Then pour the curd mixture over the vada nicely in equal proportions
9) For garnish, you can use coriander, chat masala and red chilli powder.

**You can use boondi also if available.


Now the Dahi Vada is ready to Serve & Eat!!
